On that note: Trans authors (I mean authors who are trans, NOT cis people who write about trans people), drop your book links here and I'll try to repost as many as I can throughout the day. Cis people: Repost trans authors' book links. Cis people who want to complain about being excluded: gtfo
Being a trans author is fucking weird right now. Hell is actively unfolding all around us but I still need to be like, "hey, everyone, wanna buy my silly little queer book? It won't make anything better, but it's kinda fun?" So....hey, everyone, wanna buy my silly little queer book?

An important note:
Had this come up a few times, so I want to clarify: When I say trans, I mean anyone under the trans umbrella, not just binary trans people. This includes nonbinary, agender, genderqueer, Two Spirit, bi-gender, etc. Basically, if your gender is not the one assigned at birth you are welcome to add.

I wrote a YA trilogy with trans and genderfluid heroes, plus tons of weird alien gender: us.macmillan.com/series/unsto... Also love Light From Uncommon Stars, @rykaaoki.bsky.social World Running Down, Al Hess Sunbearer Trials, @aidenschmaiden.bsky.social Dead Collections, @isaac-fellman.bsky.social

I assume @charliejane.bsky.social ran out of characters but I'd like to point out that her novels All the Birds in the Sky and The City in the Middle of the Night are both great, and both quite different from each other. (boy, those aren't short titles, no wonder she ran out of

We didn't know Victories is the start of a trilogy, what great news to be able to tell my teen when they get home!

Yay!!! I honestly think the trilogy gets better with each book because I got a handle on how to write it. :) Also, I wrote this! www.uncannymagazine.com/article/a-so...

I loved the Unstoppable trilogy! And Light From Uncommon Stars is just such beautiful writing ❤️

I’m starting your YA series. I was thinking of posting it until I saw you already did.

I liked it. Really! Lots of complexities to work through - fun.

Light from uncommon stars is why I started playing violin! Dead collections was also fantastic and I remember it being on my mind for a long time afterwards

Three chapters in and my imagination has it playing out like I'm watching a Twilight Zone episode, with black and white visuals and 1960 era acting styles, which may say more about me as a reader than the novel itself, but I'm enjoying it.

It's _so_ good. I just finished.

Just in time for Book Two to come out at the end of the month! I’m really glad you enjoyed it 💖🖤

Oh my, my own book sounds very similar on the surface, only it also involves a secret magic society pulling the strings of government and industry. I'm on my 12th draft and still trying to get an agent. (By the way, this is my first post.)

Coming to say that: Who did the cover art?

A man is depicted in grayscale with shoulder-length black curly hair that sways as if in a breeze. His face is covered by two grabbing hands, and a stylized robe and halo covers all of his body except for a circular window showing his chest.

The halo has rings of gold, black, and white, patterened with stars, feathered wings, reptilian scales, and metallic shine, and the robe of the same colors is patterned with sunbeams, peacock feathers, gothic arches, silver beads, and linework reminiscent of Arabic calligraphy...

Who is the illustrator for that cover?
