Ain’t that the truth. In my youth, refrigerators, most household appliances that were electronic lasted decades. Now, I have to perform surgery to get an extra year out of my washing machine. Everything is like this now. Whoever came up w/planned obsolescence needs to have their grave demolitioned.

We're terrified that our washer and dryer will die one day and we'll need to get new ones. So far, we can get parts for them, but once they aren't any more we're screwed. Both 25 y.o. Kenmore machines.
