thinking once again about just how cool it would've been to see Twitter adopt the AT Protocol, why did it have to be about controlling everything, Musk
Twitter is now actively hostile to outside links. On native mobile apps, you cannot open in a preferred browser, you cannot copy a link, and you can't keep an open session in the in-app browser. They down rank anything with a link. The strategy appears to just be: CONTROL
@pfrazee.com Are we gonna get an answer to this or does it ruin the vibes to call out the fact that the bsky team suspends accounts without even communicating the reason? Bc I'd love to know what happened to Trek, and why they weren't told the reason for their account being suspended
My favorite is people calling Patreon some variation of "Pawtreon" or "The P-Site" because they are so trained to not say some words by the algorithm of Youtube, TikTok and Twitter. It's an unlearning process and one I think Bsky could capitalize on as marketing.
There is an algorithm. The difference is that there are many thanks to the feeds. That said, there are certain topics Bluesky doesn’t like, so there is a level self censoring, and it’s nothing really controversial. Idk, maybe it’s just a “know the audience” sorta thing.
Well… people who don’t self censor the awful things they want to post can still get put on lists… What kind of sickos still post Alf in this day and age!?
