Question for those versed in bankruptcy law. If Trump just doesn't pay the judgment, can NYAG file an involuntary bankruptcy petition against him? Is there any benefit to doing so?
somewhere on bluesky, i have hidden a set of forbidden scrolls. if you find these forbidden scrolls and click on them, you will receive the ability to change anyone else's post to "i just ate a wheelbarrow full o' strawberries and now i ain't feel so good!" this is a gift you must use wisely
it *is* really crazy to me to see just how many people have devised elaborate stories about my life and psychology to explain why i have not done or said a thing they think i should do or say
Reminder to new users here:
The amount of money in the economy isn't under the control of any institution or government, but rather results from the supply of and demand for loans, with more lending and borrowing creating more money from essentially thin air.
Here’s a harsh truth: Mayonnaise is one of the planet’s most *globally beloved foods* and it always cracks me up when people act like it’s somehow a white American thing.
I’ve traveled a lot internationally and far as i can tell, pretty much everyone loves mayo.
Today I learned that the first woman to ever win the Medal of Honor, a doctor who served bravely with Union forces, often for no pay, and sometimes as a spy, was asked to GIVE IT BACK in 1915. She refused.
I love you guys.
I feel pretty mostly done with Twitter, so don't be surprised if the nonsense quotient for BlueSky goes up a lot as I move my usual bullshit over here.
Good morning folks... today we're launching our new (free, browser-based) game Trust & Safety Tycoon. Please go check it out. Everyone thinks they know how trust & safety should work, but very few have actually done the job. Now's your chance! trustandsafety.fun
I'm a man so I can see that you are not interested in me anymore. I don't want to be with you anymore. I want to be with you and you are my best friend.
Listening to @kenwhite.bsky.social and Josh talk about the mens rea elements of Jack Smith's case, I think it would be smart for Smith to focus on the allegations in paragraph 99 about Trump lying re: what Pence said to him. That's a really straightforward lie since it's just about what Pence said.
Since it may not be obvious what the harm is at the step 2 Yoel describes, I think it's worth looking at some of the step 3s. A very common thing is to use such accounts for pump and dump scemes for penny stocks, worthless crypto, or other scams.
Reupping because I was just followed by a half-dozen of these.
Content farm accounts aren't just a problem because they steal content; that's just step 1. Once they accumulate followers, the accounts are wiped, sold, and repurposed. They're the foundation of scaled manipulation of the social web.
One of my favorite things is how many ancient traditions are actually less than 100 years old, and usually introduced out of temporary necessity, rather than anything deeper
Will die on the hill that nobody, but *particularly* not news media, should reference former government officials with their government titles implying they are current. It's at best misleading, and its weirdly unamerican to have life titles of nobility.
