I'm not smart or a law person but many people are saying that he has until Feb 12 to find grounds (good luck) and appeal to Scotus. but many people are saying Scotus won't take it up. the filing is a deep, delicious read, like a dense chocolate cake perfectly baked. yum!
The Court of Appeal has outlined it's findings and opinion so thoroughly, articulate and overwhelming for one main reason. To make it really difficult for Roberts and his right wing cohorts to find any reason to take the case up. It is absolutely reasonable to think that SCOTUS will likely toss it.
Seems like a crazy-fast turnaround for appeal to SCOTUS. If SCOTUS grants cert the clock would remain frozen but this could mean trial could start in May (if I remember Roger's trial-date-calculator correctly–is that correct?).
