I support President Joe Biden. I wish a lot of things about the debate, and I wish he had done better. Even if I wish we had different choices, in both parties, Biden is a good President for us. 1/

He has passed the best enviro legislation in our lifetime;he has seen our country's comeback from COVID. His administration has been supportive of LGBTQ+ rights in a way that no other administration has. Our employment rates are high, our uninsured rates are low. 2/

Even without a Democratic House, he has done well. I'm really frustrated with all the calls for his resignation (and few calls calling for the lying criminal Trump to resign from his campaign). 3/

I'm worried that this is a page out of the white nationalist playbook to divide us further and march us on a path toward fascism. 4/5

I support President Joe Biden. I support his Vice President Kamala Harris and I look forward to working to get them re-elected. If Joe needs to step down at any time during his second term, we're in great hands with Kamala!

I saw the bus pass by 2 min early as I was hurrying to catch it. But that’s ok because there’s another one soon. We need more high frequency routes ❤️

Lippitt Hill, where University Heights is today, off of #NorthMainStreet, was a densely populated neighborhood that was redeveloped/bulldozed as a part of “urban renewal” in the 1960s. Many people who lived there, mostly Black, were displaced and did not benefit from the redevelopment.

I submitted testimony to House Finance today that calls on the committee to reject the proposed changes to the budget that would undo the rental registry that the legislature passed just last year. We passed it for a reason, we should do it. See my letter for more.

The @RISecState‘s gallery space in the basement of the state house is fantastic! The RI Black Historical Society has a display for #BlackHistoryMonth. In this beautiful collage, we see many famous Black Rhode Islanders, including Edward and Christina Banister and Siseretta Jones.
