I think they are unimaginably wrong on the idea that “people that take calls from random numbers and remain on that call and supply truthful responses” could be a statistically representative sample of 2024 american society

I don't think polls are wrong—that is, I don't see anything methodologically flawed in the main ones, and don't believe pollsters are lying or bad-faith-manipulating results—but I do think they've been thrown by the weird circumstance of one candidate's name functioning for some as a troll or a slur
