The way we’re all told to treat all this as normal. It’s fine that half your email is scams. It’s fine that you can’t answer your phone. It’s fine that every Instagram post is full of scam bait comments. It’s fine that people text you weird phishing links. Just adjust your behavior.

I saw a lot of people gleefully sharing that WaPo article saying there's no link between social media use and youth mental health, and I'm troubled by how easily people on here dismiss this issue. I don't know why this is, but I suspect many of you either don't have kids or hate J. Chait 1/

I was hit on today by a male friend who took his cue from the fact that I had posted something about being bi on FB. He knows I’m married to a man. So in case you didn’t know: not all bi ppl are polyamorous/ethically non-monogamous. Don’t confuse sexuality with relationship status.

I don't think people appreciate how bad things are in journalism and how terrible a blow it is to democracy. I have never seen the employment this iffy, wages this low, reporting this little in demand (by editors). You wonder how a column like Kathleen Parker's gets printed--that's who's left.

It’s true, and I can personally say that there’s a lot of bad faith stuff with conservative Jewish Zionist seeing conservative Christians as useful idiots, as well. It’s a mutual thing. It’s sickening.

I was an evangelical from 2002-2007. Church leaders deliberately used fear and shame to get Christians be Zionists. These are very powerful leaders who have pull within the GOP. Jewish Zionists wouldn't be able to do what they do in the USA without Christian Zionists.

I'm not going to search out these videos people are referring to, but I'm finding it hard to find a news source for the posts about Palestinian children being beheaded. Can anyone provide that? (obv what Israel is doing is horrific, that's not in dispute)
