Media the day before Biden drops out: "C'mon! Drop out already!"
Media the day after Biden drops out: "In a shocking and unprecedented breach of the public trust,"
i personally refuse to carry water for pundits and papers that have had it out for Biden since day 1
even if i don't like Biden as a candidate, this is not even close to a reasonable approach to replacing him
Let's say we get the only option there really is (which I'm fucking fine with because there is no perfect), then Kamala Harris is going to be treated as both fallen Madonna and as transhuman, transgender. And that doesn't take into account the deluge of Desi specific shit that going to flood online.
Easiest prediction in the world. Absolutely galling how many supposed experts have no interest in the real world and spend their time trying to squeeze everything into the shape of a story they like.
Laughing only at the idea that it would take three weeks for the media to start decrying the junior varsity Biden replacement, someone who wasn't selected by the voters, the candidate of the anti-democracy Democratic Party, etc.
I for one can't wait for some dipshit adjunct professor of media studies at a third-tier midwestern liberal arts college/occasional Jacobin contributor to tell us that the reason "the working class" won't embrace Harris is that she's a cop.
Exactly. Somehow the scenario in their heads is completely omitting the part where the media drops front page Dems in Disarray headlines every day while burying stories about Trump's latest dictator plans on page 9.
I think this will allow the media to treat Trump as the incumbent who is responsible for everything good going on right now, attribute everything bad to Biden’s dementia, and it will retroactively validate the sentiment that the 2020 election was wrongly decided. Very, very bad for us
But what do I know, seriously, maybe there’s so many people committed to Trump or Not Trump that we’re just fighting at the margins anyway, who knows what it takes to sway them
