It wasn’t until I was checking around my desk and saw the little bag of fur that I remembered she’s not here.

Okay, so. How long did it take to leash train your cat? What was that process like?
She took to it naturally. I initially tried a harness, but she Houdini-ed out of it each time. She doesn't bolt, so it was safe to just clip to her collar.
Also, I just walk her around our small property or have her tethered in the front yard (far from the road).
Also also, she's old (24!), so she mostly just enjoys laying in the sun or eating grass (and vomiting it back up).
Holy shit, 24? I have students younger than your cat.
