The prospect of both France and the UK potentially recognising Palestine soon is huge, given both are on the Security Council. That really would make it just the US holding out.

“They want to eliminate national parks” is a very simple way to get just about anyone on the Stop Project 2025 train. Are there much more glaring and life-threatening goals of P25? Yes but even your most bigoted cousin does not want to see the parks system sold for parts.

It's extremely hot back home so people who work in the fields during the grape harvest get up very very early (like guys I would be unable to sleep at like 4am so I would sit outside my trailer and my neighbors were getting ready to go to work!). Then they work for hours in punishing conditions.

The grape harvest is ready to begin this week in most parts of Kern County CA. The area will be under an excessive heat watch for at least 10 days. Picking and packing grapes for minimum wage is already difficult work but the heat becomes unbearable. #WeFeedYou

This, and your reminder: if you ask originalists about Dred Scott, they will tsk loudly and say "Dred Scott shows the dangers of anything but an originalist approach! Dred Scott should make us all aware of the horrors of substantive due process!"

I once wrote a fact check of a Morgan Spurlock book. He included what he said was a direct quote from the FDA that aspartame causes cancer. I checked the footnote. An FDA newsletter did publish that claim — but *only to specifically refute it*. That’s basically how Barrett quotes Madison here.
