i think a lot of people feel responsibility to retroactively change positive memories or experiences to negative ones when they hear something shocking about someone they trusted. but thats not what is being asked of you. it's discomfort and you can sit in it and mourn too

I have not read the backing paper! I will say that while I was about as sick *during* my last bout of covid as I was on the one previous, it did not have the months-long tail of unwellness, and I did take ceterizine (Zyrtec) and famotidine (Pepcid AC) throughout + a few weeks after.

I have MCAS and take loratidine, cetirizine, and famotidine twice daily. For COVID prevention, loratidine or cetirizine + famotidine is probably good enough.
