I think the erasure of Jewish Americans from the anti-genocide movement is one of the things that disturbs me most about the press coverage. Every protest I've seen, Jews have been visibly and vocally involved; but that doesn't fit the preferred narrative.

Most faculty don't even HAVE grad students. I didn't at Wayne State. 70% of us are contingent even at elite schools. The NYT keeps pretending 0.01% of the professoriate represents a profession of millions. Even at the Ivies and elite R1s, most faculty are NOT aristocrats.

A torrent of angry (male?) Christians descended on me for explaining that Jesus of Gospel of Matthew does not simply reject dudes sexually desiring women that aren't their wives, but would reject a dude sexually desiring his wife too. Almost like they just need Jesus to ratify their uses of women. 🤷‍♂️

This is a betrayal of public trust and bad, and Menendez should absolutely resign. In so doing he can set an example for Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito who blew past the Menendez Standard like they were racing to a buffet of women’s rights they could chew up and spit out.

It's got to be said: Alabama can still make the College Football Playoff final if Mike Pence has the courage!
