Yow, that asplodey. Do we still plug our stuff/post a PSA to viral posts a la Dead Bird?

It's perfect rage-bait.
We know journalists are educated & know better so we get annoyed.
We assume that Sun readers are unsophisticated & dont know any better & we get annoyed they're being lied to
We're gaslit that we're sneering at those with less education than us & feel guilt.
It's perfect.
Similarly, when 🟠's finances were revealed broadcast people I respect attempted a joke to the effect of:
"🟠 thought he was The Great Gatsby but he wasn't! He was a fake who didn't have much at all."
But that's who Gatsby WAS - a fake. He was really James Gatz of a needy North Dakota family.
I'm surprised that The S*n even knew that Frankenstein was the scientist and not the monster. Expecting them to know that the monster was really the scientist is a thought process too far.
This is about the hillsborough disaster at a football match that 💀97 ppl. The sun wrongly blamed the fans and since then the city of Liverpool has vowed never to buy the sun
To be fair, Adam does fuck with victor's family pretty hard. Neither of them are good people, but the book is specifically about how shitty Victor treated his own creation and how poorly society as a whole interacted with him based on appearance alone.
This has to be a joke...
I haven't even read the book, I've just learned through osmosis and even I know Frankenstein's monster is a misunderstood victim.
And also a murderer, so... not innocent or anything, but I reiterate - I haven't even read the fucking book! 🤯
As their older conservative readers die off, they lose readership, therefore, from time to time, all the time, they publish such rubbish to rage bait some readers. You fell for their trap by sharing their crap.
I watched the original B&W film as a small boy and even at that tender age, l understood that obvious point.
The scene with the little blind girl is a dead give away (and very touching)
Read the book many years later.
I was at school (many eons ago) with the son of the then political editor of The Sun. He was the only journalist on the 'paper' (if one can call it that) at that time who wasn't bound by the rule against using words longer than 11 letters.
Tbqh, i know the book has the monster be a victim but i also didn’t like the monster in the book & thought the story was stupid. the universal movie is awesome tho
Besides the point because the Sun obviously did not do the reading, while he IS misunderstood, he does murder a bunch of people. I'd like to submit my hot take that it's actually an early entry in the "disturbed child has murderous powers" subgenre of horror.
