The final Peach/Bourbon dish was a Peach Pie. Spouse is GF so she started with a premade crust from a local GF bakery. Fresh peaches topped with a crumble of oats, pecans, and br sugar. Amazing warm and with vanilla ice cream! #BBQmunity 🍜🍜

In between cooking and drinking this week, I was able to ride 176 of 326 miles of the Ohio to Erie Trail (Cincinnati to Cleveland). Hope to finished the rest in 2 weeks.

I recently got an electric box smoker which is delightfully low tech. Pork ribs basted with a Peach and Bourbon BBQ sauce (Bullet). Smoked over charred oak bourbon barrel wood. Also beans with Knob Creek Smoked Maple Bourbon. #BBQmunity 🍽️🍜

After Peach cocktails we had a Kale salad with grilled peaches, bacon, cherry tomatoes, and pistachios. The recipe called for a bacon dressing which we did, but we'd go with a simple shallot vinegarette next time. #BBQmunity 🍽️🍜

Smoked a piece of Wild Sockeye Salmon with maple from a former neighbor's tree. Made a homemade rub and brushed with bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup. A final brush with Dijon and served with a Greek Taverna salad. Annoyed we were out of kalamata olives tho. #BBQmunity 🍽️🍜

My SO made this amazing dish - GF fettuccine with EVOO, Dolin Rouge Vermouth, garlic and chix stock sauce. Blue Oyster mushrooms and red wine & garlic Berkshire pork sausage from Farmer's Mkt. Spinach too. I did some prep but she did the work AND made Basil and Gin Cocktails ❤️🍜🍽️

Why I don't eat out more: Read the menu for a new local restaurant and they have a grilled Branzino for $48. Last fall I believe I paid < $10 each for these. Really pretty easy to stuff and grill and still could afford cocktails with the good liquor. 🍽️🍜

Read in NYT about Bodega sandwiches & needed to make a Chopped Cheese! I did mine on ciabatta and my SO had hers on a GF bagel. Sirloin with lots of Sazon seasoning, grilled onions, mush & tomato, white Amer Chz, lettuce, pickles, Kewpie & ketchup. And tots. 🍽️🍜🍔
