Last night I dreamt I walked in on Stephen Fry on the telephone. Instead of being annoyed or surprised to see me, he handed me the (old-school cordless beige) handset and told me to end the conversation with the person on the other end.

The whole US presidential debacle reminds me of a David Sedaris piece where he talks about most people treating it like an in-flight meal. You can have the chicken, or a steaming pile of dog turd, "and people will still ask how the chicken is cooked".
