Just a reminder: it’s good to oppose assassinations. But you are under absolutely no obligation to treat Trumpists and Trump-apologists as people who are honest, or acting in good faith, when they purport to condemn political violence or violent rhetoric. They’re not sincere.

This was not what Evan wanted to write. He wanted it to be a misunderstanding, a mistake, the fault of the New York Times, anything other than this. But, in the end, he concluded the Biden Administration has shifted policy and no longer supports access to a full range of care for trans youth.
