It breaks my heart that we don’t get snow anymore because of both the testament to climate destruction as well as the other grievous loss of a quieting effect that was good for the soul of anyone who loves this city.

NYC is in a snow drought. The current el nino hasn't helped but it predates it. And the thing is snow in NYC is magical. It forces the city to slow down. I miss snow so so so so much. It was a foundational part of my childhood. And I worry it's mostly gone now.
