A trained black bear portrayed the striped space bear Urso in the first Flash Gordon serial from the 1930s. King Vultan of the Hawkmen brought Urso in to frighten poor Dale Arden - so dastardly!

I panfried an experiment from the garden tonight- walking onion bulbs, lovage stalks & leaves, mustard greens, and dandelion greens, with olive oil and salt/pepper. No one was more surprised than I when it was good. I think it is activating some super powers, I’ll let you know.
