Most of the story is behind a paywall, but I wanted to comment on one of the author's assumptions. Don't automatically write off "aunt" as a possibility for an older tester. My dad has an aunt who was his age, and my mom had an aunt just a few years older than she.

Two months ago Greg Abbott pardoned a murderer who texted a friend "I might go to Dallas to shoot looters" then drove into a BLM protest in Austin and killed a protester. The universal response from conservatives to the pardon was "Yeah! Woo-hoo!" Now they say liberals should turn down the rhetoric

New baby yak alert!!

Here's a fun party game/meal.

Went to a neighborhood kids bday party where the main event was a blind taste test of the 3 local pizzerias. Pies were delivered with in 10 mins of each other, then swapped inside their boxes lest we could ID the pizzas from the boxes. Also a side competition to ID each pizza. (1/x)

I guess maybe I ought to watch "Hamilton" now, because according to WikiTree, his great-grandaunt's husband's paternal aunt is my 8x great-grandmother. Who knew?

By this measure, there has NEVER been a “valid family” in my family since my ancestors entered the U.S. as “huddled masses” in steerage from 1890-1910. In every generation, my foremothers (and my wife) have worked outside the home. MAGA’s vision of family erases mine (and many others).

Part of the problem in the U.S. now & why we are so divided, is a "my way or the highway" mentality. All or nothing. If person A's opinion doesn't align 100% with Person B's, B calls A a hater or toxic & gets all his/her friends to dump on B, too. Folks, we can agree to disagree. Live and let live.

I recommend freezing damp washcloths. After doing anything it's Too Hot to do but necessary (COOKING DINNER) I wear one like a hat. It molds to your head while it's frozen and it's instantly cooling. When it's not cool, I just rinse and refreeze. I keep a few at a time, takes up almost no space.

I recommend Godzilla Minus One in b&w. It’s a startlingly stark look on post-WWII Japan that isn’t shy about calling out that old government that sent men to die as kamikaze and offered no help to those living in ashen remains. Godzilla just happens to be in it. It is a horror movie about grief.
