Well, that's comforting.

There's quite a series of firework fusillades going off in my neighborhood. In other news - I had a bout of late middle-age senility. It took me ~30 seconds to remember the word "fusillade". Well, at least I didn't have to google it.

In an alternate universe it happened for real. But there were no charges filed against the GOP president after he conspired with the aliens to murder the democratic president and everybody else in DC who wasn't warned ahead time. That universe is also 6-3.

NM's electric company is a joke. It started poring & thundering. A few minutes later I brought my flashlight to my desk. ~30m later the lights flickered & then the power went out for ~3m. 2 days ago I bought an emergency lantern. I expected crap like this due to "rain". Not so soon though!

DRYING RACK NEWS I put my drying rack out. I came back <2m later a largish ant had climbed to the top. He must have thought "What's this ~80 story structure here all the sudden? I'll go to the top to investigate." Later - laundry still wettish - I brought it in before it started to rain ~1m later.

I like how the pool, the little bit of greenery, & all the concrete are symbolic of American urbanism. It's like a huge sports stadium, the few things not for cars, and the insane amount of space used for parking. Also - no public transit. > Arrowhead Stadium

Spiders in my house don't bother me at all. Yet macro-photos of some spiders with what I think of as "weird eyes" unnerve me. However, I love jumping spiders and their eyes look anime-y to me. But I know they'd eat me if they were car-sized. The crab spider's coloration is wonderful though.
