I need more platonic relationships in comic books like Booster Gold and Blue Beetle where they gleefully bring out the worst in each other, but the worst in each other for them is like swapping Batman’s boots with Shrek Crocs when he’s not looking.

I object to Alf being included because we as a society still agree puppets are real people. Kermit was just on the Masked Singer and nobody said, “Oh, there’s a guy with a Kermit muppet in that giant snail costume.” No. The judge panel and audience lost their shit because Kermit was in that snail.

the 80s had a high density of celebrities whose authenticity was hard to figure out, as a kid. like, was Mr. T a real guy? he was like that in shows/movies but also in interviews? or pee wee, elvira, max headroom, various wrestlers. even alf was on celebrity squares. it was a confusing time.

I enjoy watching this movie lately, but only because of how it’s aged like a banana sitting in a hot car. A big corporate movie telling kids the day was saved by people clicking on popup ads, shameless ads everywhere, a cameo by a child groomer, the cringe way it depicts something going viral.

Ah, to be a pigbutt worm with rave farts.

Watching Krysten Ritter talk about Orphan Black: Echoes and how everyone on set is learning ASL to make their deaf costar feel more like part of the team is very heartwarming.

The first episode of Orphan Black: Echos is amazing. A mystery revolving around an artificial woman printed by technology designed to replace limbs and organs with new tissue and not prosthetics is a unique idea.

The more Clark Kent keeps dressing like journalists from the 1940s the more people should suspect he’s Superman.

They left in their pronouns, but removed the conversation about them so any kids watching wouldn’t have a “that sounds like me” moment. But the thing is the “that sounds like me” moments will inevitably come. Nothing is accomplished by stunting anyone’s understanding of other human beings.

Just look at this fucking mealy-mouthed response from the BBC to my complaint about their censorship of Transformers Earthspark. Trying to make out like it’s all just because of something that’s been misunderstood because of pesky social media. I don’t fucking think so. The absolute nerve.
