Libro.fm is rad. 100 percent recommend. I have not looked back.
I want more folks to know about libro.fm as an alternative to Audible or Spotify or other shady corps. It’s 100% employee-owned and works like Audible, except your credits support an indie bookstore of your choosing instead of Amazon. Go listen to a disabled author for Disability Pride Month! 💙📚
Same audiobooks. Different story.libro.fm Libro.fm makes it possible for you to buy audiobooks directly through local bookstores.

This jarring, detailed story on Robert F. Kennedy Jr. isn’t just a frightening portrait of an unstable man who seems addicted to attention. It is a brutal account of how a legion of unstable, wealthy powerful people have led America to a terrible place. loom.ly/GlT7yZQ
RFK Jr.’s Family Doesn’t Want Him to Run. Even They May Not Know His Darkest Secrets.loom.ly A shocking photograph. Blowback from a Trump meeting. Alleged sexual assault. The Kennedys have voiced support for Joe Biden, but certain aspects of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s character are only just now...

“The Court’s conservative majority has revealed itself to be the most direct threat to American democracy, and any Democrat who is not ready to shelve old fears about ‘court packing’ and get serious about expanding and reforming the Court isn’t made for this moment.” Correct.

Fun fact, actually doing 1-4 could very well energize and activate enough people to make 5 meaningfully viable instead of the longest shot out of the bunch
Reminder that there are five ways to address the current SCOTUS problem. 1. Impeach some justices 2. Impose term limits 3. Expand the courts 4. Pass legislation limiting court prerogatives 5. Keep winning the presidency for the next 16 years or so while periodically also holding the senate.

real travesty that so many incredibly smart, knowledgeable journalists have been forced to leave the industry entirely, while a small contingent of gibbering Ivy League chucklefucks get paid tons of money by legacy media to translate their own farts into the written word
if you actually get *paid* to write about politics for a living, screaming that the nominee has to drop out after one bad debate *in june* (and one in which the challenger did not do well, either), you are unqualified for your job and your salary

I had been hearing Legends & Lattes is a warm hug of a book. It really is. (I mean, why would one need a warm hug of a book in these times, right???) A fantasy setting but mainly a delightful, briskly moving, sweet & smartly observed hangout book. 2nd Baldree book equally fun. Moar pls asap ty 💚🌸🗡️🍰

This is it, a big part of what I’m talking about re the CW. Certain places in the industry are incubators of talent, and now there are not a lot of those left.
I was just thinking about how Eric Kripke (The Boys) and Sera Gamble(You) both worked on Supernatural and have gone on to make some of the biggest streaming shows.

The loss of the CW, as a network whose shows I watched a LOT & as a network that employed a ton of up & coming industry people who learned their crafts on CW shows in the last 10-20 years, continues to make me deeply dismayed. Many industry losses in recent years obv, but this one still stings a lot
