Falk's in both, doing his best Bogart impression, but funnier. Cheap Detective has a great ensemble American cast, Murder By Death leans more British
Both are good, but I like Cheap Detective more
The irony is that Mulgrew is naturally on the thicker side. The problem isn't the casting but the fact that leading ladies are held to draconian body standards.
Yeah but they retconned the shit out of that after basically everyone involved at Columbo told them to knock it off, so that’s basically just fanfic at this point.
Best Columbo episode was about a man called Finnegan, who broke out of jail to sin again. He broke laws by the dozen, even stole from his cousin, so the jail he broke out, he's in again. 💖
Impossible to read this without hearing Columbo's voice. Makes me want you to binge watch that little ragamuffins archives.
P.S. if you haven't seen Poker Face w/ Natasha Lyonne doing a fantastic version of Columbo, highest recommendation!
Columbo is the only cop exempt from ACAB. He loves his wife and his elderly basshound and spends his whole career catching guilty rich people and being a pain in the rest of the cops asses.
Fun Fact, Kathrine (Kate) Mulgrew, Knoten as Captain Janeway from Star Trek Voyager
Was the Main Charakter of a TV Show called Mrs. COLUMBO.
Yes, she was supposed to be Columbos wife!
