Advice blogger, soon-to-be-author. You may remember me as CAwkward on that other site, but I have reclaimed my full title and powers! Here to make new internets to push the bad internets down.
I do need one that covers mouth & nose (couldn’t tolerate nose-only for even 10 seconds at sleep study), but this one comes up so high and puts pressure on my sinuses, esp. since I’m a side sleeper. I’m trying to breathe through my nose while it feels like something is holding it shut from the top.
If you would like to see one of the homemade neighbor-dolls, she’s in the top row, third from the left and patterned on doll the neighbor (who turned 100 in 1990 or so) had as a child. I played with the original so much she copied her for me and made her several outfits.
I donated most of the stuff in that picture, but I still have her & all of her clothes at my parents’ house. At one point I offered her to friends and cousins who had little girls. “Respectfully we do not want your possessed doll.” 😂
When I die they will find her among my effects.
Daniel Jason Mendoza Striped Tiger (L) is a chaotic good (and permanently stoned) monk. Henrietta Kim Wexler Pussycat (R) is the lawful neutral druid who got stuck in wildshape who herds the rest of the party and keeps careful tabs on everyone. Her kingdom for some opposable thumbs!
But also means there are machines in my house that can instantly detect whenever the cats poop from several rooms away, especially since Henrietta refuses to bury anything. A bonus feature!
We got an Aerogarden on super sale last fall and what I’ve learned so far is that there’s a reason dill is a weed. This is from before The Problem where the dill and mint took over completely and I eventually scrapped everything & started over.
I know you have to harvest frequently to make it work and yeah…attention problems.
I’ve had good luck starting tomato and jalapeño pepper seedlings after the reset and am gonna attempt to grow them in containers. Here are the peppers getting acclimated to their big boy pots before moving outside.
