Shatner is great, the same charisma and energy he'd bring to Kirk, and these glimpses of calculation and anger and smirking glee when he thinks the rubes haven't seen. You forget, after all the familiarity and parodies of his Kirk mannerisms, how  good he is at acting.

really odd to be reminded the current Security Minister, Dan Jarvis, and the outgoing one, Tom Tugendhat, both served in the same army group before they became MPs. Tugendhat's been posting photos of them together in their youth as he welcomes the handover, which is quite sweet.
