A update on this for those that were interested -- I tried out krita this weekend and it's AWESOME. Its keyboard commands are similar to PS, it's intuitive, and everything just...works! My only complaint is the clone tool is a brush but that just takes some getting used to. I def recommend!

I canceled my plan and spent hours yesterday factory resetting my machine to get Adobe’s fingers out of all of my stuff, but man…had I forgotten how much I hate GIMP. 😑 I hope procreate comes out with a desktop version soon 😭
