Just a note of caution: Saudis own the biggest refinery in the US, (sold to them by trump) & it is scheduled to go off production in the fall for “maintenance”! That means fuel shortages at the pump, & higher prices as a result JUST BEFORE THE ELECTION! Keep that in mind.

You know there’s a $4000 tax rebate for buying a used EV? And a $7500 rebate for buying or leasing a new EV? Also, fuel-efficient hybrids exist. The Sonata does 53 mpg.

4k on a 30k car ain't getting my poor ass in one. I don't do credit for cars. Having a bank note on a car is really bad. Lemme know when I can get a good one for 10k.

First off the used clean vehicle tax credit is only for cars under $25k. Your $10k EV will be about five or six years away. Maybe less if Tesla implodes before then. $13k is about the price floor right now.

I feel your pain! I periodically check CarMax for 2015-2016 Nissan LEAFs, which can be as low as $11k.
