By and large the children of immigrants have accultured themselves as thoroughly as possible, with the odd festival to celebrate the food, song and dance of their heritage. No reason to think this wave will be different.

Locally, in Nova Scotia and Cape breton in particular, we've been a largely white population and indigenous on small reserves. The last eight years we have had MASSIVE immigration of indian, arab and others to the university. And it's been amazing. Cultural diversity is GOOD.
