I'm still on a jrpg kick and I love these games with all the extra little character scenes and dialogue. Trails, Star Ocean 2, Tales of games, Grandia, FFXV... It adds so much to the world.

I don't think copyright should be banned but I do think it should be heavily curtailed. This "Artist's life + 80 years" bullshit is ridiculous and IMO stifles creativity. Why should Disney take any risks on smaller artists when they can just squat on their horde for a century?

Look, I just wanna stop in towns for some shopping, side quests, and a rest at the inn when I'm playing an RPG. Maybe have a nice little meal with my pals.

People really need to give up the idea there's any connection between morality and art. Immoral people are capable of creating moving, empathetic art. Nothing about writing dark and violent art implies the artist is themselves dark and violent. Etc. There just isn't a connection.

I have been saying since February that major media are 100% devoted to But Her Emails 2, but I didnt imagine it would get this bad. The day after SCOTUS stops the law applying to Trump, we have to scroll thru 4 fucking top stories on “Biden old” & an ad before getting to anything on SCOTUS decision

I plan to vote to keep our democracy (such as it is), but if they could do something to keep this from being a thing every four years (vote or lose democracy), that'd be great.

I think seeing people post Andor gifs in response to today and then deciding that those people have watched nothing but corporate television and don't read and to get over their obsession (all things you pulled out of thin air) is very weird.
