From the Guardian's report, I mean, they get how this is worse, don't they? Claiming that they weren't excluded from consultation because there was no consultation because Atkins didn't think it was necessary before banning a drug that's been used safely for decades

This sums up the attitude to trans healthcare, it's not about "protecting" anyone, it boils down to "this gives me the ick and I want it stopped". In the rush to impose a ban before getting kicked out, they didn't even consider what effects the ban would have on those already under treatment

for the abusers, there are very strict rules for *seeming* like one of the community members, for being a leader even and once they figure out the rules, they make it their whole personality, as long as they play by those rules, they can usually get away with abuse within that community

religious & other established communities frame their ideas of human health around "do they look like one of us?" it's all based on appearances they don't know how to judge folks on how they behave, on types of behaviors that are shitty and that's why abusers are attracted to those spaces

looking back, i tried to do the best with the gender i was dealt because i legit didn’t know i had any other options. i was such a depressed little kid & teenager though. i was extremely dysphoric & had no way to understand what was happening. forcing any child to experience that pain is evil.

protect trans kids. defend puberty blockers and HRT treatment for minors. stop attacking children for having an endocrinology disorder goddammit. it’s bullshit i have to spend all this time on electrolysis as an adult just because some christian perverts are obsessed with controlling strangers.
