Which brings up a tangential aside. When Ned Lamont was challenging Joe Lieberman in the Connecticut primary my son was like 3 years old and spent a lot of time listening to his parents discussing the contest. So we meet Ned Lamont at a county fair, I introduce myself ...

I also went to a private fundraiser for Lamont (I did not donate, to be clear) and he was, like, the worst retail politician I had ever seen in my life. I hear he's a decent governor, and god bless him for eventually figuring out politics, but man.
