The reporter isn't exactly trying to trip him up but it's remarkable watching the discpline of the student who, while still engaging and answering the questions, consistently returns the conversation to Gaza any time the reporter wants him to talk about the campus or protesters.

I can’t recall the last time I saw a local news channel just… report like this. Some regional professionals in five minutes whooped the ass off every national reporter in the country.

My point isn't about Biden; it's that I decline the debate, both framing and timing. I don't prefer Biden over better candidates; I never did. I want to suggest we choose to decline to have the exact conversation that a fascist party wants us to have in the exact way they want us to have it.

I was tempted to briefly rejoin Xitter last night when I first heard of the shootings. I'm sadly not surprised that I wouldn't have been able to find realtime true information.

My partner and his family are from Maine, he works closely w/ organizations based in Portland. Last night we both got on X for the first time in months hoping that there might be some chance it could still work as a realtime news source when we didn’t see much here. The answer, absolutely not.
