A proposal now that the Charlottesville Lee statue has been melted down and we have some free space for new public monuments

Dang confederate Mfers would probably build a dang statue of Duras
Avatar
I honestly wouldn’t object to a bronze B'Etor statue in the middle of Charlottesville…

I would vote for the most bug-eyed gowron statue they can make

Idk the occupying Cardassians were on the same level of bad as the Confederates

This is incorrect. It omits further appearances of the character in movies and later TV shows, the most recent this year (Picard season 3). So, Worf has actually been part of our history for *33* years.
Avatar
Also, the Confederacy only lasted 4 years instead of 5.

That’s surprisingly elegant and cool. Do you know if there are any other irl Trek statues anywhere?

There’s a bust of Janeway in Bloomington, ind. to commemorate her future birthplace. Likewise, there’s a Kirk statue in riverside, IA.

I believe the town of Vulcan, Alberta has a few Star Trek statutes.

This isn’t built yet, and I only know about it because I live there. But hopefully it looks like the mock-up.

In the end, even Worf realized fighting wasn't the answer. He speaks in terms of Pacifism. "The most advantageous battle stance is being one within oneself".

Tbf though he’s a really bad father

I wanna believe if he could live forever he’d fix that eventually

Or maybe like with Goku there was a piccolo we didn’t see who stepped up

He has another chance in DS9 and … I give him a 4/10. In contrast, Piccolo: The Step Dad that Stepped Up

What are you guys talking about? Worf is a great dad. His grown son even travels back in time to try and convince his younger self to listen to his dad more.
Avatar
And when you think about it, Worf has the most difficult kid in the series. Beverly Chrusher’s biggest problem is her son is whiny. Benjamin Cisco just has to worry about Jake pulling dabo girls. Alexander is the only kid who’s actually *trouble* and Worf is rocking it as a single dad.
Avatar
I just remembered the boy that played Alexander died as a teen.

Bluesky may be the last space you can post this meme and not get threatened

I'm okay with a statue of Michael Dorn. He definitely had a more positive effect.

Being from Charlottesville I fully support this decision

Counter proposal

Having grown up in Mississippi Klan country, I respectfully submit that the Confederacy was defeated, but it did not die.

The entire cast of The Simpsons would be good too.
