I have about ~5k left to write in this novel, I think (don't believe me), and I wish this made me feel like "I'M GONNA DO IT, TODAY'S THE DAY" but instead it makes me feel like, ugh, isn't it done yet? do books really need endings, surely you all get it by now

Look, I’ve made it a practice to not care about individuals pirating my books, and to make my books available DRM free everywhere possible, for a lot of reasons, including my not actually caring and also not having any executive function.

I love getting the Boston Public Library to buy books for me! It's super easy to suggest purchases and then I and lots of others get to read for free. Best possible arrangement.

It's my job to buy books for my local library. One thing I wish more people knew is that we are very open to suggestions for new titles. I buy 90% of books that people suggest. Please, let your library know the kinds of things you want to read. It's helpful!

There’s discourse on the timeline about the damage that streaming services have done to tv/film but speaking as a filmmaker one of the worst things about them is, if you sell your movie to them for what sounds like a good price, that fee is now paid to you quarterly over the entire license period.
