I heard the story on public radio many years back, and I've thought about it many times since then. A classic. I often think of speech as "meat sounds." I never knew who did it but I'm sure he'll be missed.

Oh man, I *love* Meat, what a sad occasion to remember the joy of it.

Also one of the first things to really go viral on the internet.

I remember seeing it get reposted a bunch of different places on Usenet, mostly without attribution, and then seeing people chase around behind and add the author’s name.
