I live in Fremont, Ca, which is boring for the most part, but everyone should absolutely go to the Silent Film Museum. It’s in the Niles District, where Essanay Studios West was located in the 1910s. More than 350 films, including Charlie Chapman’s The Tramp, were filmed there! #flythefriendlysky

(To be clear, I kinda loved that he was a chair too, especially because of the reason! I was just making a bad joke about being deprived of eye candy.)

I kind of loved that he was a chair for most of it. I appreciate that was Shinkai’s response to producer notes of “you can’t have a female lead without a male love interest”.

We watched an anime called Suzume last night, and it was good except for the brooding anime guy in it spending most of the movie as chair. oh and the weird age difference in the romance, but to be fair it was left unrequited.

Using they/them pronouns when you know someone uses other pronouns is actively misgendering them as much as calling someone with they/them pronouns “he” or “she” is.

Hi, gentle reminder that if you *know* a trans or nonbinary person’s pronouns, and those pronouns *aren’t* they/them, you don’t get, like, partial credit for using they/them pronouns for that person. There are no “all-purpose” pronouns, sadly.
