I actually felt more elated about the French result than the British one. Why? Because the French rejection of the far-right was exactly that. A rejection of the far-right. I will not feel the same about Britain until the abomination of a far-right Brexit has been rejected by the governing party.

This is how AI will destroy humanity. If governments want to start regulating AI, start with this.
Well this is grim

If you don’t watch cycling I want to share the joy of Eritrean Biniam Girmay, who is the first Black person to win a stage in the Tour de France and now won his second! In the first week! And he’s in green, which means he’s winning the most sprints (and beating Jasper Phillipsen, which is great.)

I cannot for the life of me understand why England and France, the two best European sides at the World Cup, are both now playing like this Simpsons soccer match.
The Simpsons take on soccerwww.youtube.com This is the hilarious take on how most of the US views soccer, as seen in The Simpsons episode "The Cartridge Family" (season 9, episode 5).http://en.wikiped...

When an article says "some scientists think" then remember this: I, a scientist, once thought I could fit a whole orange in my mouth. I could, it turns out, get it in there, but I hadn't given sufficient thought to the reverse operation.

You can love or hate Zuck and Bezos all you want, for better or worse we're stuck with em because their businesses are well-established and make lots of money. If you want to hate a billionaire, hate Elon Musk because his wealth is all just built on sentiment. Blow his house down with your hate

yes, we boiled the planet, but it was worth it to make a machine that, instead of adding two plus two, takes the statistical average of every answer to questions containing "what" "is" "two" and "plus" from a database of illegal cell phone transcripts and returns a fake nude pic of a high schooler

Unfortunately FPTP is like The One Ring of UK politics: whoever wins does a Boromir/Isildur and thinks "Maybe we shouldn't destroy it, maybe we should use its terrible power for good?"

This is hilarious.
So to confirm, now we have near-final numbers: Every time 19 Tory MPs get a bit grumpy this parliament and stick their letters into the 1922 Committee... ...it'll automatically trigger a leadership contest.
