got a cybertruck question for the ladies

I was thinking the whole "won't do an ultrasound to make sure" was a red flag that she needs a new Dr to me...
Avatar
I fired a dermatologist once because they brought up climate denialism during my appointment. I wouldn’t even have them touch a mole much less anything sensitive.

My husband’s second cancer doctor was a Trumper. In March 2020 he said he thought Trump was doing a perfect job with the pandemic. If we had had the time, I would have fired him, but we didn’t.
Avatar
Yes. Block and report the dumpster fire on wheels and get a new OB.
Avatar
The cybertruck isn't the only reason why my answer is yes, yes, YES, get a new ob/gyn doc
Avatar
Indeed someone who doesn’t listen to you and minimizes your concerns 🚩

I would say that it would be confirmation to the other things. Like, if I were questioning their decisions made re: my health, then found out they had a CT, I would be all, ok, welp, time for a new dr.

"Safest vehicle on the road" is maybe the greatest misunderstanding of vehicle safety I've ever seen.
Avatar
Having seen the pictures of the upper control arms on the CT I 100% agree. They aren't strong enough for a tiny light car let alone a behemoth like the CT. Someone will die because of it.
Avatar
A 7k lb car that doesn't crumple zones is a liability to everyone in a mile radius including the occupants.
Avatar
and aren’t they missing air bags?
Avatar
I don't think you can go to market without airbags
Avatar
iirc they have front air bags but not side
Avatar
If you make the vehicle large enough, you reach the point at which its exempt from normal rules.
Avatar
Probably the safest vehicle on the side of the road tho

how the hell did that person get through med school... and did they at all
Avatar
ah… i can tell you don't go to a lot of Drs :(
Avatar
went to a dermatologist once and she spent a good 6 minutes talking about how socialized medicine means she can't bill insurers as much as she needs after she spent some time telling me about her 2 vacation homes.
Avatar
Rich people have no humility, and in fact pay for the privilege not to.
Avatar
it’s tough bc my specialists are also going down this route but it’s bc the insurance companies won’t pay for more than 15 min or so and you cannot possibly treat our disorders like that. that’s why we just get told we’re fat and anxious, goodbye
Avatar
Honestly want to ask my doctor, bless her colonizer soul, how much money she'll take from me cash on the barrelhead to actually review all the shit I got goin' on.
Avatar
I'm making a late stage career out of avoiding them, mostly.
Avatar
I remember a nurse saying "There's a lot more C- doctors out there than A+"

I have a friend with endometriosis Her OBGYN told her to take ibuprofen 🫠
Avatar
I have a friend who also had this, and the supposed cure? Have more babies! Ultimately what was needed was a hysterectomy but that was SUCH a battle because obviously you can't have babies without a womb, so have those babies and it'll cure the problem!
Avatar
Heavy doubt on the babies thing, it’s screwy how hard it can be to get a hysterectomy
Avatar
Especially in the Bible Belt region where it is your God Given Duty to have as many babies as possible!
Avatar
Old "joke" Q: What do they call the person that graduated last in their class from med school? A: "Doctor"

Avatar
am i correct in assuming that 'twoxchromosomes' is a place where terves gather
Avatar
apparently their sticky posts push back against that perception, helpfully clarifying that trans women are women, all are welcome, etc
Avatar
The comments sections are consistently trans inclusive.
Avatar
Avatar
no, they just picked a name prior to the explosion of terfdom that didn't age well. the community itself makes a point of stressing that they are trans-inclusive
Avatar
You’d assume so, but fortunately no
Avatar
Why would anyone assume this though? What does assuming the worst about people even accomplish?
Avatar
terfs do a lot of obsessing over chromosomes, so the subreddit name is pretty unfortunate
Avatar
Sometimes assuming the worst when you see a red flag saves your life. Online it might just save your mental health a little, but that's still something.
Avatar
I believe I would be hesitant to do any sort of business with someone who made obvious bad decisions.
Avatar
As always, clearly a red flag

Reminds me of a weird ad I started getting. bsky.app/profile/noyo...
I can't believe this is an ad. The person running this account runs a tutoring business. I've never seen a better sign they're not paying their workers enough.
