Cities pay out huge settlements regularly because cops misbehave while the cops skate because of qualified immunity. A corporation employing them would be in either the same or a worse position as the cities.
Sure, they could be sued (assuming there's nothing in the TOS to preclude that), but could the plaintiff win? Is any American court likely to find that only hiring cops is a security-negative?
