It's not as if things are "broken," no matter what CNN says. It's that right wing people are deliberately making it this way all over because they hate humanity and everything good about humans, and they don't love anything.

Keeping Trump out of the White House isn’t the only thing that needs doing and it isn’t enough to solve all problems facing the country & world but if it isn’t done then all those problems get exponentially worse in ways I don’t even know how to express and it scares me when people pretend otherwise

Not the most terrifying thing but perhaps the most infuriating: every single thing we said about these fascist Republican fucks has been proved out and all the people who assured us that what is happening would never happen smoothly pivoted to yes it's happening but it will be fine.

this would absolutely work on Teslas, because they don't have radar or lidar to bounce off the picture of the tunnel in order to confirm that it is in fact extremely solid

Ohhhh my god I shouldn't let my anger lead me to despair? I should let it radicalize me? Should we throw a party? Should we invite voting?

The 14th Amendment says if you were involved in an insurrection you can't be president. SCOTUS said they won't allow anyone to enforce that because of reasons they made up. The Constitution doesn't say the president is immune from criminal law. SCOTUS decided he is because of reasons they made up.

It's time for a second founding
Relatedly, we're going all the way back to 1776 on this one. The conflict is literally whether we're going to be ruled by a king now.

Y'all are being so overly concerned. Remember when SCOTUS ruled on Citizens United, and everyone was worried that it would critically harm democracy? Or when people said that overturning Roe would lead to a huge health crisis for women? *finger to ear* I am being told to shut the fuck up now

Remember when we had presidents do lame duck pardons instead of lame duck assassinations? Those were the days.

If the Washington Post headline tomorrow isn't "SCOTUS Rules POTUS Can Assassinate SCOTUS Without Criminal Liability" I don't know what we're even doing

Clarence Thomas unquestionably committed tax fraud on his motorcoach deal and the president has the power to put him in handcuffs this afternoon, in his official capacity in charge of the IRS and federal law enforcement

maybe seizing and arresting the Supreme Court majority for aiding and abetting an attempt to overthrow the U.S. government can be a "core constitutional duty" and an "official act," why not

Biden needs to use this ruling to its full advantage and ignore every ruling from SCOTUS since they legally can't hold him accountable.

The fact that Trump didn't shit his pants loudly and Biden wasn't energetic = Biden had a poor showing? I mean, who cares about policy, I guess.

No, some of us warned about this for years and got blown off

You may not work from home. We need you here. The office needs a culture. A business lives or dies on its sense of community. We replaced your coworker with an array of NVIDIA processors. There is no more water cooler, It has used all the water

Reminder that Aaron Swartz was facing 35 years in prison and financial devastation for trying to programmatically download and open the contents of JSTOR, which led to him taking his own life. But OpenAI is going to scrape all of academia and make billions by plagiarizing it.

The first episode of That 70s Show took place in 1976 and was released in 1998, which is a 22-year gap. A show released today with the same gap would take place in 2002.

When I worked in the Department of Health and Human Services, we weren’t allowed to spend federal funds on a water cooler. That luxury might erode public trust. So if you didn’t want to drink questionable tap water, you gave personal funds to the “water club” that paid for water cooler refills.
