The last few election cycles have been so over the top that I think we all forgot that 2012 was also supremely weird. Big bird and bayonets. Romney dog. Binders full of women. It wasn't as in-your-face as Sarah Palin's nonsense in 2008, but in some ways it was much weirder.
Oh, she's very popular Ed. The sportos, the motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, wastoids, dweebies, dickheads - they all adore her. They think she's a righteous dude.
Most of the geeks I know don't adore her.
Of course the geeks are divided into the rank and file IT workers, and then the Tech CEOs (plus the Tech CEO bootlickers).
Many Tech CEOs don't even know how to do anything with modern tech and are busy investing in NFTs and AI while simping Musk.
To be fair, over the last year-plus of reports of CSA cases, they can only claim about 75-80% of arrests.
Which is roughly their share of domestic terrorism, too; FBI statistics place them as the least investigated and least prosecuted group despite acting more than all other ideologies combined.
Oh! Mine does! I was born in '72 and... [remembers Reagan administration]... and... [no direct memories of Nixon because I was a toddler, but close enough]... nevermind. I thought I had something to say, but I'll just sit down now.
They still are, which is what makes it all so confusing until you realize it's all basically a front for white ethnonationalism with a side dish of prosperity gospel.
Yeah, except when you don't do proper editorial work it comes out awful.
The process of PROPER AI writing is actually harder than regular writing and it is STILL prone to plagiarize whole paragraphs on you without your knowledge.
You basically have to take a very aggressive editorial roll by first handing the AI an outline, then going through the whole piece, selecting the parts that need to be rewritten and tell it how to rewrite it.
Rinse, and repeat a few hundred times. It is NOT an improvement.
The only valid way to use AI in writing is you have it review your writing and suggest improvements. It works MUCH better as an editor than a writer.
However, with the current ethics in AI, I'm not letting AI touch my writing.
