I think one of the most potent grief triggers is stumbling on a photo of your loved one accidentally. (My mother in this case.) There they are, smiling and happy in the middle of one of thousands of ordinary days; now they're gone, and no days are ordinary in quite the same way.

I don’t really think there is anything in the near term readers can do to change The New York Times. They are going to stay on this path, certainly through this election cycle. The best thing any of *us* can do, is stop reading/sharing/linking. Treat them like Fox.
