Couldn't disagree more, I was definitely thinking of driving to NYC on my way from New Mexico to Colorado when I was typing in this search.

Google Maps somehow managed to stop working reliably to search places, the one thing it was still better than the alternatives for. Results now seem kinda random, with places showing up one time out of 3 to 5. Even gas stations! I was about to drive 20m out of the way, then repeated the search.

Bonus content: • The nearest Costco station was an hour away • That Bronx result, as of today, shows up as "Gas Sta" (see attached) • The actual helpful result was incorrectly named, as it turned out
