FWIW, Sephora does have a 30 day return policy where they'll take "lightly used" products back for a full refund if trying out in the store is not possible. You could also try contacting any brand you're interested in & see if they have samples they could send you.

I'm very pale (tho not *quite* the palest setting) & I like Kosas brand (powders & BB creme). Also, depending on your skin (mine is normal to oily), Supergoop Mattescreen acts as a very lightly tinted primer/sunscreen that's very blendable & just kind of makes my skin look velvety, not tinted.

Well, that's a MasterClass in puppy dog eyes!! Bravo, sir, bravo 👏👏👏

Blair, you have been granted wisdom & compassion for the ages 💞. I also struggled with fertility issues (multiple rnds of IVF & pregnancies but just one child) & I feel this in my bones still, "By the time the good news came, I was so weary of hope that I didn’t let myself trust it for a long time."

Thank you for sharing your grief & also reminding us that sometimes, just showing up in our own lives is the biggest gesture we need. 💖

Altho, I do feel a little better about our future bc the near universal reaction to it from elementary school students* in my child's school is disdain & laughter. (*I'd been saying it looks like a 4 yr old designed it & one kid said she could've done better than that... with an eye roll! 🤣)

Exactly! I live in the Austin area so they're proliferating like rats 😬 And they're startling & unnerving every time I see one. I almost jumped out of my skin when one passed me (walking) in a parking lot 😳
Avatar
I think I'm going to start using that!

My 10 yr old doesn't say that but she does say things like "check The Google" like she's 70 🤣

Oh Buddy! 😳😲 Unfortunately, gravity is the one law you can't break! 🥺 (And don't give your poor momma another heart attack, ok?)
Avatar
Right?? Absolutely broke my heart to leave that house. Luckily we found a house here (Austin area) that has 2 wide porches in front & back.

I don't really believe in a physical Hell in the afterlife, but for them, one can hope 😡👿

My phone isn't cooperating so I can't find a spring/summer pic right now, but this is one of the last pics I took before we move (in Feb 2017, so nothing is blooming yet). That's one magnolia up against our garage & you can see the other one peeking over the roof beside the main part of the house.
Avatar
(*Before we moved...) To be clear, the magnolia is the tall tree behind the bush on the right side. In spring & summer it was magnificent! From what I understand, they took *all* of that out, including the row of crepe myrtles, too. 😭
Avatar
I think those original buyers sold during covid or else I'd accidentally slip the location. I don't know who owns the house now but I hope they're planting like crazy. It was a gorgeous farm-style house with a beautiful wrap around porch surrounded by trees, but the magnolias anchored it perfectly.

I DON'T KNOW?!?! 😭😭😭 They said they were "messy"?! Oh, it's been 7.5 yrs, and I live halfway across the country now & I'm still not over it. 🥺
Avatar
This is the discourse I come to Blue Sky to find! 🥰🤣🪴
Avatar
Right?! But they were animals who chopped down my 4-5 mature blueberry bushes, our cherry trees AND the 2 gorgeous, 20' tall magnolia trees at the front and back of the house. 🥺 So I wish them a lifetime of minty lawns 🤷‍♀️
Avatar
Have I ever shared about the 2 mint plants I planted at our house in SC? I think by the time we moved, our yard was about 85-90% mint roots 😳 I was devastated when we had to move but the silver lining was that I could leave that mistake behind me 😂 Never again!

My mom used to work at a place that had "experience" tours & her specialty was pottery. I grew up messing around on the wheel a lot, too. It's been decades since I've done it... but I miss it! One day my schedule will allow me to take an adult class! I'd be starting over from scratch, I think 😂
Avatar
My mom would be the first to tell you she wasn't an artist & it wasn't about the end product for her but she loved just *doing* it. I hope you're having as much fun with it as we used to 🥰
Avatar
My 10.5 yr old is taking an intro to wheel throwing class later this summer & she loves "competent competition" shows like this. I've told her we should watch them together before she takes the class to get a sense of what's possible 😁

I bought an IBM computer my senior year in college that ran Word Perfect from a 5 1/4 floppy disk. And my first job out of college had one "high tech" computer in the office that ran Windows 3.1 😲

Over 20 yrs ago, I went on a date with a friend of a friend who turned out to be a cousin of Dolly's (this was in NC, so plausible, fyi). Nice guy but zero chemistry. To this day, my husband of 15 yrs wonders why I didn't keep dating him until I met her. So yes... The power of Dolly is unmatched.

I have never craved "spam" more!

OMG 😍🥰 (So we're technically in the market for a new kitten to keep our 10 mnth old "teenager" kitten company so that he doesn't exhaust our elderly cats too much 🤣 And we're only over in Austin.......... if she continues to be cute, something to consider 🤔)
