:dons librarian hat: Digital preservation is more expensive than preserving paper; it takes more staff, active attention, and consistent computing resources. Libraries have discussed “digital dark age” since the 1990s. Corp archives often 1st to go b/c suits haven’t figured out how to profit.

Some advice after 25 years of work in Egypt/living in AL: 1) Liquid IV is best electrolyte/salt hydration drink (or Pedialyte) 2)If overheated, cool shower, then colder bath (slow temp decrease) 3) Freeze bottles of water. Put between legs (crotch)+ under armpits+ at neck. Will cool blood rapidly

I know that there is some young woman in Alabama who’s about to start chemo, and she’s just been told that her doctors can’t offer her any fertility preservation because some religious nuts might prosecute them for murder. I could’ve been her last May, save for place and time. This breaks my heart.
