Institutions work until they don’t. It’s banal but true. Courts as institutions worked when Trump tried to steal the election, but FedSoc has been chipping away at them for decades, and I think it is very rational to doubt they will work any more to restrain an executive.

I can't buy the narrative that Trump is struggling in these primaries when he has exceeded his 2016 outcomes in every primary so far.

I just realized something: "anti-woke" is a synonym of "safe space". When conservatives are looking for an "anti-woke" business, what they are really looking for is a "safe space" from the things that make them feel uncomfortable. The dichotomy of this realization is making my head hurt.

Nobody is perfect. Nobody. We are all human with flaws and failures. Our goal in life should be the best humans we can be and leave the world a better place. I don't know if Navalny has succeeded in this, but I know he tried and I believe he has laid the groundwork for something better.

One of the more interesting effects of going on testosterone was that my hair got darker, so it wouldn't surprise me if the Bronx GI did in fact get much blonder if her surgery included orchiectomy.

This wasn't unheard of at the time, the first public trans surgery in America was done as "Former GI now smoking hot!"
