My dayjob in the 90s-00s included a lot of network consulting for banks that were buying each other, and there was at least one round of that where Wells was the one getting eaten.

perhaps slightly, though i think mostly just well-timed---the letters were all removed yesterday, apparently from right to left, though the editing of this video makes one wonder if they were actually all done in order (I didn't listen the sound, though).

This building has been in so many animated things minus the sign. The concrete rectangle around a huge bank of windows, it's so clear in my mind. City of Townsville, Metropolis, various New Yorks that Spider-Man and Bugs Bunny have both been to.
The day Bank Of America foreclosed on my house during the Bush Recession, after I pleaded for a refinance to a then market rate lower interest rate which I could have afforded, the “O” on their tower next to my office burned out.
