Maybe the lesson here is that the people who built a political movement out of the vigilante revenge fantasies of socially maladjusted and heavily armed people overestimated their own ability to control where, when, and at whom the violence they encourage would be directed.

I personally think the smartest thing the DNC could do would be a (technically incumbent) Harris/Buttigieg ticket. Platform on Roe, infrastructure/transportation, and cost of living. You know, things that are popular and get people to turn out to vote.

The “shut up and fall in line” democrats need to wake up and hear the sirens. 🚨 Biden is wildly unpopular, not only because of his age. Gaza, false promises, failure to bite back against a corrupt SCOTUS, etc. He is the only reason the election will even be close.

As far as I'm concerned anyone telling people not to vote, in this election or any other, is doing for malign purposes, and the only correct response is "Well now I am going to vote EVEN HARDER."
