I haven't been to Dick's since 2017 and desperately want to go again, but I also can't pass up Gizz in the South that weekend, so hope y'all have a blast.
I'm not a big karaoke person, but got taken to a place once that was doing it and everybody was trying to get me to participate so I went up the karaoke DJ and asked for "Isolation" by Joy Division and the guy just leans across the table and says, "This is supposed to be fun, man." 🤷♂️
While travelling last week, I missed the opportunity to hype two albums by artists I love that came out on Friday. On the left, we have Starflyer 59's Lust for Gold, a nice little slab of shoegaze. On the right, Pony Bradshaw's Thus Spoke the Fool, one of my favorite songwriters of recent vintage.
